Breastfeeding at-home session
Laura and I had been in touch for over a year, talking about how I could photograph her family. For one reason or another, it didn’t seem to work out. Still, she was always a huge follower and supported every single thing I posted. So I knew for sure she was still there and we were simply waiting for the right time. And I’m so happy we waited, for this turned out to be the most perfect timing to capture her with Elin, her youngest daughter, in a lifestyle session combining breastfeeding and some Mommy&Me moments.
One thing I love about these sessions is the intimacy I’m able to capture. It’s not posed, it’s only guided. And then I just let the babies lead the way and I adjust to whatever they want to do. This usually tends to be relaxed and fun!
This is what Laura wrote to me after seeing her photos, I got goose bumps when I read it:
”Tammy was fantastic all around. Super responsive to emails and quick to schedule our photo session. Once on site, she took her time to make the best pictures she could. We did an at-home session and she wanted to make sure she got the best light and angle in all of her shots. I could tell she wanted the shots to be beautiful and put a lot of thoughts into them. She was also very considerate of the baby and I, and though she is great at making recommendations for poses, she leaves the models the space they need to make the session feel totally personal and intimate. After the shoot, Tammy was the fastest photographer I know to have edited the pictures and provided a very convenient, easy to share, online gallery. The shots exceeded my expectations in every way and I can only recommend Tammy as your photographer if you want memorable photos, portraying who you are and have memories of your special moments with the ones you love!”
The first part of the session turned out to be a favorite in a moody black and white, and I only added color for the last shots. These are my favorites… which ones is yours?
