New York City, the dream city for so many people, including both my sisters. There is something special and magical about the Big Apple. There is so much to do and see that it seems you can never stop being entertained.
I found it amazing how you can go from the immense and green Central Park, full of birds and squirrels, reflections in the water, a peaceful tribute to John Lennon, people taking a brake either from the office or from sightseeing… to a busy nocturnal Times Square, drowned in colorful lights embedded in enormous billboards, invaded by traffic and tourists, the whole place shines and sparkles with camera flashes from visitors.
I was there during a heat wave in the summer, making an effort to feel the breeze and see the sky between all the skyscrapers. I stopped every now and then to admire some people showing their talent in the street, from acrobats to musicians.
NYC, a very interesting city! I wish I could go back there during the winter and be blown away by all the Christmas decorations, my favorite time of the year!
