I can now say ¨I’m 28 years old¨. That means 2 years left to turn 30 and my life is not as I expected it to be, it’s nothing like I thought it would be when I finished High School and you ‘start your own life’. It’s better. It’s better in ways I cannot explain. I’ve had incredible life experiences, most of them because of traveling, so I will keep on discovering more corners of the Earth. As far as I’m concerned, traveling and life itself are the best Universities.
You know your kids are amazing when they wake up at 5:30 on the morning of your birthday to decorate your cake. And you love them even more when they don’t want any help because ¨it’s your day and you should be spoiled¨. Fionn and Lucca got lost many times when counting the candles, apparently there were too many. So they put the 28 candles on the cake, one of them upside down, got excited with the cream, and even more excited with the M&Ms.
We love the new deck and we wanted to have our little celebration there, but the morning breeze made the candle-lighting very difficult for them, so we decided to go inside. We sang, smiled, laughed, and blew the candles together. Presents came after that thanks to the amazing Donna, who put her thoughts on making my day special. The boys also made some creative pieces of art as presents. I love how kids can express their feelings through art, they might surprise you. Fionn’s big ¨I love you¨ on an abstract and colourful background made my day!
